Sentinel like standing 339 meters tall over the ancient city of Chengdu, dominating its skyline, the sleek post modern concrete West Pearl Tower supported on 3 legs, holds aloft a red pod clutched in three fingerlike extensions reminiscent of a rocket about to head heavenward.
